China took the lead in helping developing countries, but can't do it all: Video report

SHOCKING STATS: Less than half of one per cent of people in poor countries have been vaccinated against Covid. At the same time the US paid for enough vaccines for double its population, the UK paid for enough for four times its population, and Canada for five times its population (World Bank figures). China is a notable exception, indicating a different cultural attitude. The world’s decision makers should be helping the poor fight Covid, not engendering a new arms race of nuclear submarines.

Fridayeveryday editor Nury Vittachi shares the stats in a 2m15s video report
